Designing is our passion. Not only do we make jewelry we also do design consulting. When we got the small heart-shaped diamonds and the large opal cabochon we were a little stumped. But our friend wanted the heart-shaped diamonds on the shoulders of the ring, so we told him we would give it a try. The ring was a gift for the love of his life.

The side view of the ring shows off the unique setting for the diamonds. They are set only at the top and bottom, which is secure and also leaves the stones more visible. At first we were not sure how the whole ring would come together and in the end we loved it. The pink gold set off the reds in the opal and the diamonds really added to the overall pleasing effect of the ring. Often as a designer you aren’t sure how the piece will turn out because the drawing and even the computer aided design, or CAD, is not the real thing. When you actually have the materials in hand wearability and durability, rule the process . Sometimes a stone will just not be set safely enough so it all has to changed, or the metal is just too thick or too thin for comfort and other considerations.

In the end she loved the ring. it is so important to get feed back after delivering a piece of jewelry. That positive exchange is what makes all the work to create fine jewelry worthwhile.
