One of the skills we provide is to redesign jewelry from earlier times into a fresher contemporary look. We enjoy this customer because she clearly appreciates working with us and treasures the end results. She came to us with several inherited emeralds and diamonds and did not like how they were mounted. She loved the gems though, not just for their intrinsic value, but more so for how they reminded her of family . The first piece was the pendant. She loved the blooming flowers on a tree at her home and wanted to use this theme as the design inspiration. Gregore’ had been carving flowers in many materials at the time which really fit the theme well.

Our customer was so taken with the carved pink opal flowers on her pendant that she asked us to have earrings made to go along with it. Even though the emeralds in the earrings are different shapes it added to the playfulness of the design and in the end we were able to use all the family heirlooms. Our customer thanked us for helping her celebrate and remember her family and also provide her with beautiful jewelry to wear.
